Moderns cars are equipped with RFID keyfobs those The invention is based upon. The driver carries a keyfob on his body being polled by ECU periodically. If he is forced out of the car, the watch dog program in ECU detects the missing signal then triggers the delay shut down procedure turning the car engine off in 30 seconds. This is the time of typical driving in half to one mile. The bad guy can get away with your car.
