Invention description

Covermees™ are fabric covers for vertical blinds. Vertical blinds are used in countless homes, schools, offices, etc… When they get dirty, cracked or discolored from sun, they need to be replaced – which can be expensive for the average consumer. Also, many consumers like the look of curtains or draperies but enjoy the functional aspects of vertical blinds.

Advantages of this invention

These covers enhance the appearance of vertical blind – not replace them. They slide up each louver and snap on with Velcro. They are easily removed for cleaning without taking down the whole unit. They can be mass produced in a variety of colors, prints or fabric. No special equipment is needed. All items are currently on the market. They can be made to fit snug, scrunched or fit loose (for a drapery look). They can be made with a solid on one side and print on the other, creating a different look each time the vanes are turned. They may be used with their own header or with a store bought valance. The possibilities are numerous. “Covermees™” give the consumer another choice in window treatments.
