The largest producer of wind turbines in the world said: “Romania has a great potential up to 14,000 MW”

 The Romanian wind energy market is the most promising in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, with a potential wind energy resources up to 14,000 MW, according to Hans Jorn Rieks, The President of Vestas Central Europe Region.

"In the region of Central and Eastern Europe, Romania is the most promising short and medium term," said Hans Jorn Rieks (photo), the official opening of Vestas office in Romania.

Vestas has monitored in five years the Romanian market of wind energy, which in 2010 has seen explosive growth. If the end of 2009 there were only 14 MW eolians installed, over a year the number increased to 457 MW.

The annual installation potential sence 2015 is 500-600 MW, according to estimates Vestas. National Action Plan on Renewable Energy has set a target of 4 GW up to  2020.

Vestas officials argued that the decision to open an office in Romania was motivated by the wind potential of Romania, the involvement of government for development of wind and capacity national network of electricity transmission.

Last year, Vestas - Romania has signed contracts for the supply of wind turbines with a total capacity of 450 MW; 44 MW was already installed in the first half, and the total for 2010 will be published in February, said Catalina Dragomir, director of sales Vestas - Romania. She said the company's target is that by the end of 2011 is  to install all the 450 MW, but that there was no official confirmation. "Our plan is the target of domestic business, but it is subject to change," said Dragomir.

Regarding expectations for business in 2011, Vestas representatives say that the market share for them is of secondary importance, as revenues and profits. Depending on wind energy market development in Romania, Vestas will expand operations in Romania, possibly as a factory building components for wind turbines.

Today, Vestas Romania has 31 employees in the departments of sales, marketing and engineering, both in Bucharest and Constanta. Generally, wind turbine costs (without foundation) amounts to 50-65% of the total investment.

So far, Vestas turbines raised in Dobrogea region, in wind farms: Baia 1 and 2 (17 MW), Pestera (90 MW) and Cernavoda (138 MW).

Czechs from CEZ (distributor and supplier of electricity) invest 1.1 billion euros in the biggest wind farm in Europe, located in Constanta villages:  Cogealac & Fantanele. When finished, it will have a total capacity of 600 MW, enough to supply electricity to 700,000 households.

So far, only the park situated in the village Fantanele is completed and energy Project to Cogealac is suspended due to lack of permits. On the Romanian market, Vestas is the main competitor of GE Energy, a company that provided the wind turbine project in Fantanele.

Vestas is present in 65 countries and 20,000 employees worldwide. So far, the company based in Denmark has installed a total of 41,000 wind turbines.

NEW ELECTRIC GENERATORS WITH RELUCTANT -  PROTOTYPE

(General Electric in TORQUE RESISTANT LOW)

The new type of General Electric Generator, has some REMARKABLE PERFORMANCE (superior current generators) in that it is based on a completely new operating principle, innovative and revolutionary technology, electromagnetic induction, with the following advantages:

- 1) RESISTANT mechanical torque (the shaft) is independent of electric charge - which involves:

- Mechanical energy is consumed in the same goal and task;

- Over a certain electric power generated, mechanical strength is required to la70% less (compared to the overall performance met);

- 2) Due to the special mode of construction, against known generators are relevant CONSTRUCTIVE avanataje we have the following:

- Maximum reliability - no carbon brushes both for stator and rotor

- Rotor mass is only 20% of the generator;

- Inductor and armature windings are stationary;

- Universal applicability - can be used (design for any power and speed) in:

- Classic and REGENERATIVE ENERGY SYSTEMS (WIND & HYDRO TURBINES)

- Automotive, motorcycle, naval, air, military;

- Stationary or mobile sets;

- Is ideal for submersible applications or explosive atmosphere.
